At first, I didn’t know what to make of it but as I was reading, I somehow fell for it.
This is my second Adria J Cimino read and I must say that I am happy to say that I like her writing. The Creepshow somehow in a way or another, depicts some real life problems regarding the female harassment – of any type – in big companies – but not just there, everywhere in fact.
The book follows the under goings on inside one of the biggest financial companies in France – Whilt. It all started with the sudden – or not so sudden – death or suicide of one of the greatest employees they had. In time truth will come out and many things will be disclosed, as Wanda will fight hard to stand up for her rights. Along the way, her former boyfriend, Max will show up again, and turn her life upside down. Trying to patch things up between them, especially now after he finds out that she had a baby – his baby.
She is not going to fight this battle all on her own though. Her best friend, Galina, will support her in any way she can and advise her all the way.
It is a wonderful, and sometimes sad read, but still realistic. Even though it’s just fiction.
