There’s A First Time For Anything

I know. I’ve been missing out yesterday, and here’s why.

Even though the weather wasn’t all that sunny like a few days ago and the sky threatened to let those gray clouds cry, that did not stop me from going to the fair. I really wanted to meet some of my new favorite authors and spend some – more – money on books, again. It is after all, Black Friday Weekend. So, why not ?!

( I am never to be trusted with money or credit cards when going out or surfing the web. 😀 )

Yesterday, I went to the annual Gaudeamus Book Fair. It was my very first time there and it was such an amazing and beautiful experience. One I will most certainly not forget any time soon. And a tradition, as well. So next year and the years to come, I will be there.

The place was gloating with people moving from book stand to book stand, from publisher to publisher and so on, looking for special offers, new releases that were going on , favorite authors, book signings or just dropping an eye out, out of curiosity. Just like I was. Only that I knew what I was looking for. If only finding it was simple…

After arriving there at 12:20 A.M – ten minutes before the book release I was aiming and waiting for, all week – I had run in circle inside the complex, trying to find her booth.

*Note To Organizers : Next year, please make  a Legend with where we can find what we are looking for. Thank you !

After a little while, like I had some sort of guidance in front of me, I kept on going on the second floor and was happy to find that I was a minute away from actual happiness. Meeting Simona Stoica and getting my hands on her latest release. Okay, okay. I wanted to steal an autograph, a hug and a picture with her. There, I said it ! We okay, now ?

Yes, I am a fantasy girl. What can I do ?! I love getting myself lost in all sorts of mystical worlds and stay there for a while. Okay…I never want to get out of there. 🙂

Shame on me for not having finished the 2nd part in the first 2 book series until the release of the second ones – part 1 and part 2. Yeah, that’s how she writes. Fast. She is a fast writer, and I hope that she’ll forgive me for not having finished the first part sooner.

I had a great time – even it was only a minute we’d shared – meeting her and getting to see how simple she is and how a warm person she is. She is my little Romanian version of Marie Rutkoski – though they don’t stand comparison, I like to see her like that. And she knows that, I told her in my review of her first book. Yeah, I did that.

Here is a snap I took of her after I got my moment.

All those people were there for her.

Okay, now I’m off to finish that second part so that I can start the new ones. Hope you all had or still have an amazing weekend – like I did – !

See you on Monday, angels ! Keep your smiles on.

About Cristina

I started this blog for quite a few reasons: 1. To share my opinions about books I read. (I'm open to recommendations) 2. To express myself in the only way that I love, which is of course writing 3. To connect with people with whom I may share the same interests I read and write because it offers me an escape door from the world we live in. A door which allows me to be whomever I want to be, live wherever in this big world, set off on adventures and most of all because it brings my imagination back to life from its very very long sleep. And of course...Because I love to !! Here are some basic things about your host and writer.. My name is Cristina and I come from Bucharest ( also known as The Little Paris ) were I was born, raised and am currently - still - living. I’ve finished my studies a few years ago and got my bachelor degree at Dimitrie Cantemir University, in my hometown; in Economics. I have to admit that this specialty wasn't my first choice. I have been weighing my choices – as in, to what they can provide me in future – both while I was still in high school and after. Initially I wanted to go to Foreign Languages, but I had a big fall the moment I saw that it wasn't acredited – huge disappointment washed over me. I am still a bit disappointed about that to be honest. I have a huge passion for writing ever since I was little, and even if I had times when I didn't (or couldn't) write anything, now I am right back on track. My dad is the only one who knows how much passion I put into what I write and doesn't giggle or grin when I bring it up. I love having someone’s support no matter how little it is,it still means so much to me. Love, Cris ♥ Hope that those who will follow me like what I post around here and - why not - maybe give some ideas about new topics. :) If anyone wants to add something on the blog please contact me at
