Book Review : Relentless (Shattered Hearts #2) by Cassia Leo

Relentless (Shattered Hearts, #1)Relentless by Cassia Leo

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review of the UK edition of Relentless !

Cassia never ceases to blow me away. I totally love her writing style and the intensity of her stories.

The story takes place a year after Claire has broken up with Chris and dropped out of UNC, moving as far away as possible from every painful memory,in Wrightsville Beach. Here she meets the gorgeous Adam Parker, with whom she falls in love but the secrets they both have weights them down and put them in very difficult situations.
In Forever Ours Claire’s mom dies due to a drug abuse and she’s being taken from a foster home to another. But do we know all about Claire’s life before and after breaking up with Chris ?

Adam is a right-words-at-the-right-time kind of guy, who isn’t afraid of showing people exactly how he feels. This gorgeous guy has his own “demons” and issues, all of which used to get him in trouble in the past. He has his own share of secrets, just like Claire does. He wants Claire to come with him at his parents’, a trip that at first she wants to decline but thinks better of it. The trip to Adam’s parents’ won’t be eventless, on the contrary, Adam’s going to have to tell her his biggest and ugliest secret he’s ever kept.

One day before her 21st birthday she finds an envelope that contains her trust fund put away by her mother long before her death. When she gets in Raleigh along with Adam, she wants to know from whom all the money came from, and more painful details and memories come back to surface. As a present for her birthday, Adam gets her to a Chris Knight concert, not knowing that Chris is Claire’s ex. Just when she thinks that things can’t get any worse, Joanie appears in front of her, all drunk and shouts in Chris’s direction, Claire’s biggest secret. A secret she shouldn’t have ever shared with Joanie – the fake assed “friend”, from UNC.

Will things get back to normal after this or will they forever change for all three of them ?

About Cristina

I started this blog for quite a few reasons: 1. To share my opinions about books I read. (I'm open to recommendations) 2. To express myself in the only way that I love, which is of course writing 3. To connect with people with whom I may share the same interests I read and write because it offers me an escape door from the world we live in. A door which allows me to be whomever I want to be, live wherever in this big world, set off on adventures and most of all because it brings my imagination back to life from its very very long sleep. And of course...Because I love to !! Here are some basic things about your host and writer.. My name is Cristina and I come from Bucharest ( also known as The Little Paris ) were I was born, raised and am currently - still - living. I’ve finished my studies a few years ago and got my bachelor degree at Dimitrie Cantemir University, in my hometown; in Economics. I have to admit that this specialty wasn't my first choice. I have been weighing my choices – as in, to what they can provide me in future – both while I was still in high school and after. Initially I wanted to go to Foreign Languages, but I had a big fall the moment I saw that it wasn't acredited – huge disappointment washed over me. I am still a bit disappointed about that to be honest. I have a huge passion for writing ever since I was little, and even if I had times when I didn't (or couldn't) write anything, now I am right back on track. My dad is the only one who knows how much passion I put into what I write and doesn't giggle or grin when I bring it up. I love having someone’s support no matter how little it is,it still means so much to me. Love, Cris ♥ Hope that those who will follow me like what I post around here and - why not - maybe give some ideas about new topics. :) If anyone wants to add something on the blog please contact me at
