Book Review : My Control ( Inside Out #4.5 ) by Lisa Renee Jones

My Control (Inside Out, #4.5)My Control by Lisa Renee Jones

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The second book told from Mark’s POV.

In My Control we see just how broken Mark really is and just how far he’s willing to go to revenge Rebecca’s death. With all the fuss created by the investigation on Rebecca’s murder, Mark’s house is full with press so he gets himself a room in a hotel in San Francisco. He even calles Crystal to come over to get through gallery stuff.

Only that Crystal’s coming to his room is far from the intended discussion he had in mind. He’s lost every ounce of control he had left and feels the need to do something, otherwise he’ll lose it all.
He’s wanted to tell Rebecca how he felt but rough exterior and his big ego, didn’t allow him to do so, and know she’ll never know how he felt about her. Even if, at first he denied that he didn’t love her, now he realized that he truly did and she was more than just his submissive.

Mark’s being paid a visit by the head of Walker Security, Blake who informs him about the press swarming around the hotel, due to a staff leak. He knows there’s more than this leak, so he leaves Crystal alone in his hotel room, to go over the gallery stuff.
Once she opens the accordion file left on the coffee table, her eyes fall both on the the club’s selling contract and on Rebecca’s journal. Not knowing what to make out of it and driven by a small curiosity she opens it, reading the first entry. After putting it down, being unable to read more, she understands the reason that stands behind he’s selling the club and sees how much Rebecca loved Mark.

After hearing the news Blake and his attorney give him, Mark is set on finding Ava and Ryan and make them pay.
“I’m on a hunt now, and my prize is vengeance. I didn’t fight enough for her when she was alive. I’m damn sure going to do it now.”

How far he’s willing to go to revenge Rebecca’s death, remains to be seen.

About Cristina

I started this blog for quite a few reasons: 1. To share my opinions about books I read. (I'm open to recommendations) 2. To express myself in the only way that I love, which is of course writing 3. To connect with people with whom I may share the same interests I read and write because it offers me an escape door from the world we live in. A door which allows me to be whomever I want to be, live wherever in this big world, set off on adventures and most of all because it brings my imagination back to life from its very very long sleep. And of course...Because I love to !! Here are some basic things about your host and writer.. My name is Cristina and I come from Bucharest ( also known as The Little Paris ) were I was born, raised and am currently - still - living. I’ve finished my studies a few years ago and got my bachelor degree at Dimitrie Cantemir University, in my hometown; in Economics. I have to admit that this specialty wasn't my first choice. I have been weighing my choices – as in, to what they can provide me in future – both while I was still in high school and after. Initially I wanted to go to Foreign Languages, but I had a big fall the moment I saw that it wasn't acredited – huge disappointment washed over me. I am still a bit disappointed about that to be honest. I have a huge passion for writing ever since I was little, and even if I had times when I didn't (or couldn't) write anything, now I am right back on track. My dad is the only one who knows how much passion I put into what I write and doesn't giggle or grin when I bring it up. I love having someone’s support no matter how little it is,it still means so much to me. Love, Cris ♥ Hope that those who will follow me like what I post around here and - why not - maybe give some ideas about new topics. :) If anyone wants to add something on the blog please contact me at cristinacryss0@gmail.com
