Book Review : Light Of A Thousand Stars ( True Calling #2.5 ) by Siobhan Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Light Of A Thousand Stars is a gripping and heart wrenching novella told from Zane’s POV, which takes place long before the Earth disaster and the imminent departure of Ariana.
Always and Forever
We get a closer look as to how their lives used to be and it shows us just how deep his love for Ariana is, and just how far he is willing to go to get her back in his life after she and her family is being moved to Novo. By now, we are all aware of Ariana’s gift and know that she can see things happen before they do. She’s been having recurring nightmares, and the only person she told about them,is none other than Zane himself. Her parents – especially her dad – are worried sick about what is going on with her, but cannot help her without knowing the truth behind her strange behaviour. A truth that Zane isn’t going to disclose to her father any time soon, as he promised her that he won’t be telling anyone about it.
A total unfortunate event that took place 8 months ago, changed Ari big time and not in a good way. In order to „fix” whatever is bothering Ariana, her dad confided in Zane and asked him to try to convince her to go see a therapist. And, just like that wasn’t already enough, one day, her father – Malcom – drops a bigger bomb on Zane. One he doesn’t want to believe and at first and thinks it’s just a joke. Just like that, not long before the big bomb is dropped, they are being separated until next time – with a rocking promise that he’ll do whatever it takes to be with her again.
